Singapore Deputy Prime Minister visits ESSEC

On October 11, 2016, Dean and President, Jean-Michel Blanquer, welcomed Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies of Singapore on the ESSEC La Défense campus.  During his visit DPM Shanmugaratnam took the time to speak with and respond to questions from participants of the ESSEC & Mannheim EMBA program, an 18-month international program for executives, which had begun the day before. Participants from the Asia-Pacific track of this program also joined via video conference from the school’s Singapore campus.

Following the exchange, DPM Shanmugaratnam sat down with Dean Blanquer to discuss apprenticeship at ESSEC, the ESSEC & Mannheim EMBA program as well as ESSEC’s entrepreneurship incubator, ESSEC Ventures. He also took the time to visit the incubator and spoke with one of the start-ups, Mobibam, about their venture.

The visit brought about great discussion and was an excellent opportunity for ESSEC to share its developments in France as well as on the ESSEC Asia-Pacific campus.
