This program gives participants a profound insight into India and aims at equipping the participants with adequate knowledge, business and operational skills to be successful in India. It will also enable them to operate at strategic levels by synergizing all functional areas of management, and provide various channels and mechanisms by which companies can benefit from the services offered by Essec Executive Education Experts and Indian Government Agencies.

The strength of this program lies in its unique structure: three workshops are designed each for different specialists:

  • "Strategy & Decision-making"/ November 2nd, 2015 - 5 steps to Doing Business in India: decision making; high-level negotiation rules, approaches and interactions with partners, customers and institutions /Facing the Indian market’s complexity and regulations: how and when to take strategic decisions? / Personal leadership and communication style to Indian business / How to adapt your strategy to the ‘’Make in India’’ policy? / Mergers & acquisitions, joint-venture approaches and partnerships / Case studies / ‘‘Let us talk about your project’’ followed by an evening session with a guest speaker
  • "Working with indians" / November 3rd, 2015 -  Working effectively with Indian subordinates/peers/superiors / Learning how to think and act in a culturally mindful way and to interact in daily business situations for successful partnerships and operations / HR management in Indian companies (salary, compensation) and talent management in India (retention, expatriates from headquarters/ onsite) / India’s tax system for expatriates; repatriation.
     
  • "Managing Teams and delivering projects"November 4th & 5th, 2015 General and operational aspects of Project Management in India / Setting up and managing teams to deliver: processes, delivery, KPIs and deadlines / Project Management (on site and remote): having successful interactions with your customers and partners / How to develop the necessary agility to be successful in India / Setting up and operating your business support of private entities and governmental bodies (project management approach with government bodies) / Outsourcing and focus by industry

Workshops carried out by professionals and experts

These workshops are taught by professionals and experts from India and Europe.

  • Serge Gianchandani - Vice-Président of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce from 2005 to 2009, he created the "India Trade Centre", a unique service platform supported by the Indian Minister of Industry.
  • Ashu Malhotra - Head of Human Resources of Jabong.com. Having worked in companies like Alcatel-Lucent, Honda Cars and Max India, he brings with him 20 years of rich professional experience.  
  • Ashwin Malshe - Essec Professor based in our Singapore Campus. As an expert covering the whole asian market, he teaches Social Media, Marketing Strategy and Consumer Behavior. He holds a Ph.D in Mareting from the University of Birmingham and a MMS Marketing from Mumbai University.
  • Paul Shoker - As a serial entrepreneur with 27 years of senior executive management experience, Paul Shoker worked in North America, Europe and Asia. In 2001, he founded “Surfing Students”, a portal to seek and share information and discounts available to students in their local university. It was then acquired by Virgin Student 3D, Richard Branson’s company.

Personalized support

In addition to these three workshops and on your request, ESSEC Executive Education will assist you in setting up and developing your project by offering, for 6 months after the program, personalized support for your project. You will get a customized support and follow-up in many aspects of your project for 6 months : business, strategy, administrative by our Program Director and Official India Government Institutions.
